| I have for sale the complete section on cartography, pages 29 to 48, in Munster's Atlas where apart from the interesting explanation of the "modern" methods, instruments and mathematical calculations used in the compilation of his Atlas, it also makes an interesting comparison between the old methods ( and limited knowledge ) used by his master Ptolemy and himself. It includes about twenty woodcuts, all set in pages of text, of which I have scanned the most interesting. From the collectors' aspect, image one, of the Globe being held by two 'Atlases' ( also showing the 'tilt' of the earth ) is rare and much sought after ( size: 16.5x18 cms. ).
