First edition of this rare account of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. 89 pages of German text. Title in red and black. Twelve wood engraved plates on Indian paper, and three small woodcuts in the text (one in red). Original pictorial ( palm trees) cloth gilt, minor foxing mainly to first few pages including to the skyline of Nicosia (first plate) . An extremely interesting and scarce account of Nicosia by the traveller and yachtsman Ludwig Salvator, Archduke of Austria.
